<p>Allow me to reintroduce myself...</p><p>My name is Britney AKA Flaka. </p><p>If you aren't Hispanic/Latino or aren't familiar with the Spanish/word: Flaka - it is the feminine gender version of "flaco" in Espanol which translates to "skinny". </p><p>I received that nickname when I was a size 0 and approximately 130 pounds. In my Jamaican culture, we would say "Although mi likkle, mi tallawah" which means "I might be lightweight, but my name carries weight" - literally lol. </p><p>I'm new to the platform of Fanfix but I have been creating content on other social media platforms for a while. Since I was a "jitt" (broward slang) = a kid.</p><p>With that being said, I used this video as a way to reintroduce myself because I believe this video captures my essence despite, I do not identify with that former "stage/artist" name. Which also has a backstory. </p><p>I love to sing, so I will be posting more exclusive videos of my past and future performances. A former associate of mine helped me identified with this nickname during a phase in my life where I *thought* I resonated with its meaning. </p><p>If you aren't familiar with the Greek mythology of "sirens" -- well here's a quick recap. I'll make it quick. "Sirens" were known to be female humanlike beings with alluring voices. They were known to be attractive and dangerous. Eventually evolved to bodies of mermaids. </p><p>My associate gave me this nickname because of certain attributes they felt aligned since I was heavily intrigued by sirens, vampires etc. During that moment in my life. I didn't think of the bigger picture, at that time, I was naive and just going through the motions. The more I performed and being introduced as this name and people having their own perception of the meaning behind what "Siren" meant naturally detoured me away from resonating with that specific stage name. So, I pivoted. </p><p>Also, I met a girl in person at an event who also went by "siren" which didn't sit right with me. There was no bad blood, but I wasn't feeling it. I caught myself even changing my Instagram handle which at that time was my main social media platform I promoted when I would network and perform. I changed it to "@THEOFFICIALSYREN" -- the same thing I spray painted on the side of this building; The building is the Beauty Supply Store off of W Oakland Park and NW 60th Ave in Sunrise city of Broward County. My former co-worker recorded these videos on my phone. She lowkey amped me up to do graffiti. First thing that came to mind was my Instagram handle since I knew shutters would be dismantled after hurricane season passed. It was a way of finessing an expansive and free media marketing.</p><p>Long story short, it worked. Here, I am. </p><p>I never shared these videos before besides posting them on my story and a few times randomly with no purposeful intent. Now, there is. An explanation. Clarity. A backstory. </p><p>My current Instagram handle is: @BritsVida which you can find on your most popular well-known social media platforms. And if you have or haven't already, welcome and nice to meet you. I have had this handle for a while, and I don't think I will be changing for anytime soon. I've grown attached. It incorporates my name, life, and culture in one. I also have a beauty page and business brand that I will later on acknowledge down the road. </p><p>If you have come this far and read my post entirely; I appreciate you wholeheartedly. On this beautiful but hectic day, my already bad tire had another flat on my way to receive money from the man who hit my car. God is good. These young men saw me in need of help on the side of road and politely offered help. They didn’t ask me for my number afterwards or flirt with me. Simple southern hospitality! Granted, a homeboy of mine asked his little brother to accompany me this day as I was meeting up with the dude who hit my car and offered to pay for the repairs instead of me calling the police. Again, God is good. The day I got into the accident, my license was suspended…I actually called the police but when I remembered, I felt as if it was too late to call back 9-1-one to “cancel” lol so I went along with the damsel in distress with the dude who hit me. He seemed to have his own secret so I kept mine. He didn’t ask me questions about why all of a sudden I changed my mind to file a report. Maybe because we found common ground in being Hispanic. I originally took these photos sending it to the dude who was pressuring me to arrive on time to receive the money so i sent as evidence my whereabouts. Thank you for reading this far. 🖤

My self-care routine consist of a face mask and making time to move at my own pace. It’s very important for me to slow down. My anxiety causes me to feel as if I’m moving rapidly while making extra mistakes. Face mask naturally inspire me to stay still in the moment…just like this selfie represents. 🖤🦋

I wanted to share this because this photo whenever I used to repost this on ANY of my social media platforms, it would attract so much attention. At first, I felt insecure of uploading it because I thought my breasts were too big & saggy when in actuality my breasts were the *starring guest* . Sooo, this is my sexy body now! :) compared to 18-20 years old. Not much of a difference. Thankfully, I have wonderful genetics.
