3A nice fit from December… Cozy vibes from my bedroom. I’ve always hated that the walls are yellow in my childhood room, but I didn’t have time on this day to have a photoshoot somewhere nice before the sun went down lol. 🫠 I’ve been feeling better than I have in a while recently!! Celebrating new places.

1ALL types of worship are VALID. ( ⬆️ this is why I don’t dance in public 🙈 ) Before literacy was fully established, regulated and spread to the marginalized rungs of society, what really mattered wasn’t that you had the exact right words for a prayer, but instead it was how your spirituality FELT in your body, as well as in the wider world. Do what feels right to your spiritual journey.

3Gotta catch ‘em all… 🔴⚪️ 🎣 🧶 Another journal entry in my journey to feel comfortable in my body. Funnily enough, this photo shoot reminds me of a tale I read about. Essentially, it’s a historical observation about what the ‘fish’ symbol originally meant, before it became Christianized. Some say that the fish originally wasn’t a fish at all, but instead, a symbol for the life-giving aspect of fertility and mother Goddesses. It only became associated strongly with Christianity after the colonization of Europe. Anyway, I enjoyed all the crochet & fabric in this shoot… Magikarp was my least fav Pokémon, but they turn into Gyarados, so don’t completely ignore them… It’s the Pokémon equivalent of the Ugly Duckling story, but make it fish & dragons… 🐉💙 •••

1The first ‘journal entry’ I have in my Learning to feel Comfortable in MY Body series. I own my body. I deserve to feel safe in it. It isn’t some big, old man deity in the sky that owns me. My physical body is inherently good. It keeps me alive. It deserves to be valued.
